Daixu Dong was born in 2004 in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. He started learning the violin at the age of 5, piano at the age of 7, and composition at the age of 15. He is currently an undergraduate student in the Composition Department at Xi'an Conservatory of Music. Daixu has studied composition under the guidance of teachers Gong Xiaoxia, Xie Fei, and Yang Kai, and is currently studying with teacher Zhang Manjing.
