Hoang Huy
Truong
Truong Hoang Huy was born in 1987 in Vietnam from a family of musicians and artists.
He started playing the piano (with his mother Tran Anh Tu, a piano teacher) at the age of four.
In 1992, when he was five years old, he won the "Crystal" prize in the piano competition "Nu Duong Cam" in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 1994, he won the second prize in the piano competition "Nu Duong Cam" in Ho Chi Minh City.
In 1995, he entered Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City in the class of Nguyen Thien Phuong Hanh (vice-director of the piano section).
In 1997, he obtained the first prize of "Young Talent" in the 20th Per Giovani International piano competition in Italy.
Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City chose him to play in a welcoming concert at the time of John F.Kerry's visit.
He was awarded the diploma of honor as elite student of Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City by Vietnam ex-president Truong Tan Sang.
In 2001-2002, he won "The 31st and 32nd International Children's Art Exhibition - Bronze Awards" in Japan.
In 2005, he was invited by the National Academy of Ho Chi Minh City to accompany on the piano for the children choral at Shanghai (China) International Festival.
He was graduated as excellent "Piano young talent" with Dang Hong Quang (director of the piano section) at Conservatory of Ho Chi Minh City.
In the same year, he passed two piano entrance exams to Conservatory of Amsterdam (Netherlands) and the Royal Conservatory of Liège (Belgium).
In 2010, he obtained a Master of Music in Performance-Piano (in the class of François Thiry, Hélène Fazius and Gabriel Teclu) at the Royal Conservatory of Liège (Belgium).
For perfect his technique, he is currently followed by the pianist Mikhail Faerman (first prize in Queen Elisabeth Competition, 1975) and Stéphane Ginsburgh at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
He attended a lot of concerts and master classes with the most well-known classical performers to refine his technique : Jacques Rouvier, Akiko Ebi, Françoise Thinat, Alan Weiss, Diane Andersen, Johan Schmidt, Joaquin Soriano, Ralf Nattkemper, Friedemann Rieger, Uta Weyand, André de Groote, Haruhi Hata, Jun Kanno, Daniel Blumenthal.
In 2014, Ambassador of Vietnam in Brussels invited him to play the piano on the occasion of the 69th Vietnam National Day at Bozar Brussels.
In 2014-2015, he improved his pianistic technique with Brigitte Bouthinon-Dumas (Conservatory of Paris), who is the author of many reference educational books, among which "Mémoires d'empreintes".

As in 2018, 2019 and 2022, he will give a Piano recital in 2023 at prize-giving ceremony of Prix Francqui (prize Nobel Belge) by his Majesty King Philippe of Belgium at Palais des Académies.

Painting presentation with Choir and Orchestra of Royal Opera of Wallonie in Saint-Remacle church at Verviers under the musical direction of Jean-Michel Allepaerts with the participation of Alda Greoli, Minister of Culture and Childhood, Vice-President of the Government of the Wallonie - Brussels Federation and actress Marie-Christine Barrault.

In 2022, from June to September, he decorated the Art space for the 5-star Vernet hotel in Paris.

1/ The first prize winner and for winning Excellent Interpretation Award (piano) in the World Grand Prix International Music Contest.
2/ The first prize winner (piano) in the Vivaldi International Music Competition.
