Cao Moxi, a young ethnic vocal performer, is currently pursuing a doctoral degree specializing in Chinese national vocal music. With over ten years of systematic training and stage experience, she has earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in ethnic vocal performance and has long been dedicated to the inheritance and development of China’s vocal traditions.
To date, she has successfully held three solo recitals and has been invited to participate in numerous large-scale concerts and cultural performances. Her singing style combines technical precision with expressive power, drawing upon a wide range of ethnic vocal techniques and regional musical traditions, earning high praise from both experts and audiences.
Professionally, she has won awards in several important vocal competitions both in China and abroad. Alongside her stage career, she actively engages in academic research, having published three SCI-indexed papers and two additional scholarly works. Her research focuses on contemporary expressions and international dissemination of ethnic vocal music, striving to establish an organic connection between theory and practice.
She remains deeply committed to interpreting the beauty of ethnic vocal art through contemporary expression, innovating within tradition, and working to bring the voice of China to a broader global stage.
