Stefaniak
Jakub Stefaniak is a participant of the Doctoral School of the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk (Poland). He graduated with honors the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice (Poland). As a soloist and chamber musician, he is a laureate of many accordion competitions in Poland and abroad, his most important achievements include the 2nd prize won both at the 9th International Accordion Competition in Reinach (Switzerland) and at the 5th International Accordion Days in Prague (Czech Republic) and the 3rd prize won at the XXXIX International Festival of Accordion Music "Citta di Castelfidardo" in Italy in the category of chamber ensembles. Although he interested in the performance of early music on the accordion, he also collaborates with composers, for example promoting the music of Paweł Sławiński on many stages. An important event in Jakub Stefaniak's concert activity was his collaboration with the violinist Volker Biesenbender, a student of Yehudi Menuhin. He is a member of the "Arti Sentemo" Chamber Accordion Orchestra, gives concerts in a duo with flutist Justyna Czuryło, and is the author of arrangements for various instrumental ensembles. Winner of the "Young Poland" scholarship program and scholarships of the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport, the Mayor of the City of Lublin and the Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship. He has recorded for Radio Lublin, Radio Gdańsk and TVP Kultura.
