Competition Rules

GENERAL RULES — ALL CATEGORIES

  • All performances must be submitted as a YouTube or Bilibili video link. The link is required for all applications.
  • Recordings must have been made no more than 18 months prior to the application date.
  • For solo instrumental and vocal categories, the performer's face and hands (or face and instrument) must be clearly visible throughout the recording.
  • The application fee is $75 USD per entry. One application per participant per edition.
  • Results are announced on Jun 7, 2026 for the May 2026 edition.
  • Participants may not compete in the same subcategory and age group in two consecutive monthly editions.
  • By submitting an application, participants grant the competition the right to feature their recording on our website and social media for promotional purposes.
  • All decisions by the jury are final and non-negotiable.

Solo Instrumental & Voice Performance

Open to solo performers on any instrument and solo vocalists of all voice types. Participants are placed in age groups to ensure fair competition.

Age Groups & Time Limits

Recording Requirements

  • Video must be uploaded to YouTube or Bilibili and the link provided in the application form.
  • The performer's face and hands (or face and instrument for vocalists) must be clearly visible throughout the entire performance.
  • Recording must have been made within the last 18 months.
  • No editing, cuts, or overdubbing is permitted in solo performance recordings.
  • Accompaniment is permitted for vocal and some instrumental categories.
